Dear all,
I have error messages while opening an x86 machine running Solaris
10 . It all started with asking for running :
#svcadm clear system/boot_archive

Then I run #fsck -Y then I got from #svcs -xv
svc:/system/install-discovery:default
offline
see : SMF-8000-4
/etc/svc/volatile/system-install-discovery:default.log

Then I started to find the below error messages :

Wanrnning : no major number for driver ...
Wanrnning : no major number for driver ...
Wanrnning : no major number for driver ...

Rebooting...

Any suggestions.

Hey Happy,

This is very old warning message so it would help to know for which
driver
it is warning you. Also, which Solaris 10 release is this?

Thanks,

Cindy

I would try a failsafe boot, and rebuild the boot archive (I think
it's one of the menu options when the failsafe boot comes up).
